Since in the early 80s the 25th of December was a great day, the day to cerebrate our renowned day, it was nweli day, my tribal pronunciation to mean noel another name for Christmas.

We were deeply saddened to hear about the death of MONIKA NABIL MAKRAM. She is in our thoughts and prayers. Monika was such a cheerful, gentle soul. We will always remember the determination she had in her work and the laughter she brought to us. We will all miss her but we should all draw on her strength and keep on doing the work she has started.

More often than not young people have been seen as trouble makers and a group of people with no proper contribution in the development, This isnt true due to the fact that we young people are the "Strongholds of change in the societies we lieve" Its not possible to bring any positive change in any community without young people.

Time for Action: Addressing Gender Equality and Violence Against Woman in Africa

The Sixth African Development Forum (ADF) ‘Action on Gender Equality, Empowerment and Ending Violence Against Women in Africa’ took place at the United Nations Conference Centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from the 19 - 21 of November 2008.  The biannual event attracted over 1000 participants including 21 African minsters,  250 African government civil servants, as well others from the civil society, international organisations, UN agencies, the African Union, and youth.
