AN African IN America I Admire !!!!

A woman to be admired most, a woman of courage passion and inspiration-Oprah Winfiry. It is not her glamour or wealth that captivates me most but, it is her characteristics and kindness. She is prominent figure that can be a role model for me in particular and African girls in general. we African girls can identify with her in so money ways .As a child from a poor family, she was rapped, harassed and disrespected just because she was born as a poor black women like most of African girls. Nevertheless that didn’t deter her from success. She did not give up in spite of her chaotic past. Rather she heroically broke the fortress and shone like a star, she made it in a white male dominated highly competitive society, and she is a true image of a “phenomenal” woman, for the simple wisdom that she is intelligent, compassionate and remarkably considerate.

In this egocentric world, my motto is” if you want to be happy, stretch your hands to the needy.” Oprah apparently is a living example pertaining to this particular slogan. she is a person who did not forget her past. She knows how it fells to be neglected and marginalized: no one knows it better than the victim .It takes dedication determination and thoughtfulness to show generosity to those who need it. I adore her because she is not caught up by her wealth .From my perspective money does not bring the ultimate satisfaction on the contrary it is the good we do with it that matters. Pherhps, this is the “money paradox.”

It is through her that I perceive strength and hard work. I see my self in her. She gives me hope and courage to face the challenge of life, even when every thing seems dark. If she can make it we certainly can.

It is true that oprah winfrey is a woman to be admired and most definately to be regarded as a role model for a lot of people not only in the usa but also all over the world. This woman is one in a billion. An iconic figure to be reckoned with. I am of the opinion that her exceptional talent is God given and that of a relentless hard work and determination. What we can learn from this woman is the fact that being born from a poor parents should not by any strength of imagination be detrimental to our future rather we should find stregth in it. As regads her being an African American i have a little doubt she considers her self as such becacuse she by no means tries to portray it in her shows. This opinion might sound a little naive and i am ready to accept any criticism .
